Raised by her influential grandparents, Kerstin attributes much of her inspiration to them, dedicating her book to their enduring presence. After completing her high school education in Germany, she pursued higher studies in the United States, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Kerstin’s life has also had its share of personal struggles, including an initial marriage that was primarily a means to secure her residency in the U.S. The relationship ended in divorce, but she later found true companionship with her current husband, who supports her writing endeavors.
